My first muscle Mopar was a 1965 Fury One, Az Highway Patrol Cruiser with 60,000 miles on it.

1968 july, the time and $763.95 was my winning bid. 383/330hp AFB 727 3.23 gears A/C no PS.

The air cleaner was about half the diameter of the later 383/440 aircleaners.

The moan of that engine was louder than the exhaust note.

I lived in a deluxe trailer house at Rosegarden Lane just south of Deer Valley Road.

When the patrol was still using the 65s they would turn around at Union Hills Road ramp
and come back northbound at wide open throttle. They would whistle by my place at
about a buck 40...incredible sound.....another mopar i should have kept.......

You will of course have to have an adapter to go from the big block engine to the small block tranny.and as for the rear gear,,,,a 3.23,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, naw,,,make it a 3.55 and get a little more smoke from the tires,,
