Re: Kickdown linkage

Paul,

I've never seen a unit like this on a 63' 64' or 65' B-Body, 318 Poly, 361, or 383. My 2 63' Fury, 63' Sport Fury, 64' Sport Fury, & 65' Belvedere all used a one piece kickdown rod. A threaded ball socket to the carb linkage, through a fork bracket, right down to the trans kickdown lever. Your unit looks like a 66' and newer B-Body, heater hoses on the right side of firewall. I do have a kickdown rod on my spare engine I can take a photo of.

I've attached a photo from the 63" Service Manual showing the Kickdown Rod attached to the carb & tranny.

Ran into another snag with the linkage install.  Part of the bell
crank sits right under a heater hose, which blocks it's movement.

Anyone have a shot of how yours fits?
