And what 65 Darwin says--That is an issue I had not thought of . Even
tho the intake surfaces are at the correct angle, will it mis align
the bolt holes and port match????  I can't quite get my foggy brain
around that.

Yes, you must mill both sides to maintain port and bolt hole alignment on the intake to head flange area. You might be able to go .015 - .020 on one surface, but after that things tend to get out of line.

from the deck/head surface.
