Yes you can plug the line, and the brakes will work just fine....but
you will have to stand on them hard...you'll be surprised how much
presure you will have to press on the pedal to get it to stop.  But
it's safe so don't worry.  Just plug the line, and try out the brakes
so you can see how they will work for you.
