Re: Dash pad removal

Hum.... 2c: Lube up the nut like clips first before unscrewing. Also you could spray some lube, like lithium grease, on the clips to make them slippery and easier to slide out. A small vice grip can hold the spring clip closed. Don't actually pull on the chrome trim. Push pull on the closed clip. If you take off the glove box door and cardboard liner you may be able to see and navigate better.

Thanks,

I just got under there and figured it out. The "back" part closer to the windshield actually has screws with these little thin nut like clips. Easy removal. BUT the front of the dash pad, the chrome trim actually holds it on. Using my fingers I found where it clips in, but they are so tough, I feel if I press to hard one way or another I'm screwed. Not gonna be easy finding a replacement chrome dash trim. Also, the further it goes to the right, the skinner the space to work...ugh. Being 6'3" with huge hands isn't help in either. Anyone have experience with some tips? I really, REALLY, don't wanna break anything. My luck sucks lol. Ive included pics so y'all see what I'm dealing with:
