I think mine was aluminum as well. I also put insulators around points that might vibrate and eventually wear a hole in the line.

When I redid my car mo,I took all the fuel line out,got my flaring tool, a roll of 3/8" line and made  it from scratch. This way I knew delivery would never be a problem.

In talking with a friend who has a 400 stroker in his car with well
over 450HP, he tells me he is using stock 5/16" fuel line and pick-up,
and mechanical fuel pump with no problems
  So- who all here is making 425 + HP  with a stock 5/16" fuel
line??...................MO
