Re: Temp and oil gauge issue

Herb is right, you can also get a new style vers of it from http://jcauto.com/ just give them a call and see what it is they send you.  I forget what it is, the new style.  I've heard having the gagues do that will do them damage, but I'm not sure, maybe somebody else knows.

When you say gauges, (plural) shoot up, its more than likely the voltage limiter on the back of your dash on it's way out.  Two suppliers to check out.

Subject: Temp and oil gauge issue

I'v had the gauges shoot up when I start the car.... And stay up.... Today the shot up when I was driving it.... I'd like to think my car isn't overheating because it doesn't make any weird sounds and I can touch the radiator and engine isn't boiling hot... What could cause this?  Also I changed the points, cap, rotor, plugs and plug wires... Seemed to run better last night when I was done... Runs a little "cough rumbly" today... What did I do wrong? Haha thanks!
