Re: Front end

Every year during the cruising season I hear people talk about the squeaks up front. And many times I hear the same reply, I didn't think about that. Many car owners forget one of the basic service points on our old cars, lubrication greese. Just because we don't drive them as often it may be overlooked. Check your car's service manual, find those greese fittings, and you may also find that some fittings need to be installed. Get some fresh greese and pump it in...many of those squeaks will go away. When replacing brakes or just tires, have a front end alighment too. It's a good way to find out if that ball joint is worn and in need of replacement. If you just bought a beautiful 62-65 Mopar and the previouse owner said it's cherry, all original, you know it's time...

Subject: Front end

Question, I'm doing my front drum brakes this weekend. The squeak in the front end is coming from a arms I believe, it's a deep squeak when u turn and body kindve "rolls" or if u bounce the front end with ur arms. Higher squeaks are when u hit little bumps really fast. Anywaysss, I was wondering while I had that goin on if there was anything easy I could fix while I'm down there. I never have done ball joints or anything like that before, but I figure I could change them while I'm down there. Keep in mind as I'm limited in tools cause someone stole them >:-( I got my handy dandy craftsman set at the moment! Lol
