Welcome New Member - 1962 Dodge 440 / 500

Welcome to the 1962 to 1965 Mopar Mail List Clubhouse to John!

Below is his introduction.

Thanks,
Gary H

=====

Hi, my name is John. I currently own 2 62 dodges - one a dart 440 model, and the other a polara 500. I've owned the Dart since 1999 and have been drag racing it since shortly after I bought it, first with the poly 318, and about a year later with a mild 440. It runs low 12's at Maple Grove, which is my home track, and gets driven on an almost daily basis during the summer months. The Polara is currently going through a restoration/restification. I've owned that car for about 10 or 11 years and it has been patiently waiting for me to get started working on it. Paint and body work was completed some time ago, and I've started working on the mechanicals. A dana 60 with 4.10 gears sits out back. I have a 65 cable shift, slip yoke trans at the shop being freshened up, and my 440 block comes home from the machine shop this weekend. I'm hoping to have this on the road/track sometime this summer.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
