2K is a really good deal for a running driving early A convertible.
There's a lot you can do with the slant.  Mopar headers/HEI plus its
already got the 2bbl.  That'll get you in the 200hp range, or upgrade
fairly easily to a small block.  (Firewall modification on a '63 would
be needed to put an 8 in it to clear the distributor).

The rust up the doors, if bad (full of holes), I've got a buddy with a
pair of '66 Dart Hard top A-body doors, that would bolt right on.

I'd definitely paint it back to the original red, I love that color on
the early valiants.
