BB pushrods

As this is my first 440 build, I need some lessons on determining
what pushrod length I need.-- Hydraulic lifters.   Hopeing the stock
ones will work , even tho I have changed heads.  I'm not good on
searching.  I see there is a mock up tool to set at the correct
lrngth, Must I have that ?....................MO
