Re: survivor?

This topic about our 62-65 Mopars has made me smile. I call the "survivor", "clone", "tribute", "original", "replica" etc. labels the "Is What It Is" class.

I remember buying my 64' Sport Fury in 1964, and all the other Mopars I have owned. So far I've survived all of them, and like many of you we are the survivors, and in a class all by ourselves.

Yes, term term is generically based on car show judging definitions. To me, a major value of a survivor is it provides a time-capsule reference as to how the car was delivered from the factory.  As Ted wrote: "The engine compartment pictures are just what I was looking as a guide for my 500."

From a more general perspective any vehicle that has not been crushed is a survivor, of course. Not in the car show world though.
