You could have twisted the drum slightly crooked and now the shoes rub the drum. 
http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/dev/brake-adjustments-pictures-t207170.html gives a general idea of the adjuster. You need to pull the rubber plug that sits over the adjuster wheel (bottom back on your car) and turn the adjuster to bring the shoes in.   

Is this the front drum? 

You probably need another drum now.
