The first time I saw this car I thought how sharp it would look with the engine compartment cleaned up a little then maybe detailed. I offered the older gentalman owner who was a true antique car guy and afternoon or two to make it show & shine. No way would this car be touched, it was to be displayed as found as long as he owned it. As for the master cylinder, I'm not sure in 1962 if they were ever painted when leaving the factory.

WOW, what a Grandfather. Talk about a time capsule? The one thing I did notice, is that the MC is either leaking or someone spilled brake fluid on it. It has had the paint eaten away and is rusting. Other than that, might be still sitting on the show room floor.
