Re: AC??????

If you use the new stuff, new seals, though out. And yes, before anyone jumps down my thoat, it will sometimes work without new seals, But why not save time and money and do it right the 1st time?

Jim,
You shouldn't have any issues with a late model compressor. Mounting will be hand fabricated unless someone makes mounts. You can also convert to the newer refrigerant and save money. The pressures should be fine. Hoses will have to be made but again that should be no problem.

Guys,I'm planning on installing the factory AC out of my donor 63 440 into the 63 Polara 500 and was wondering IF i can install a late model compressor instead of the orginal compressor? Will it work ok or not? I don't know if there are any differences in pressures between the orginal and a later model one.

Thanks in advance guys
