Re: 64 Sport Fury Street Wedge

It sounds like you finally found what you've long been looking for.  Can't really put a price on that if you're happy with it (sounds like you are).  Everyone always says you can't build a car as cheaply as buying one done.  As I work toward building what you just bought, I'd say you spent your money wisely.  In my opinion, these cars shouldn't be bought with the worry of what they'll be worth to the next owner.  They should be bought to enjoy.  If you want mostly the look of a MW, you can buy the complete reproduction intake/carb setup and exhaust manifolds cheaper than originals.

Have fun with it and don't look back!  Congrats on finding a great car.

Subject: 64 Sport Fury Street Wedge

Well after years of searching I finally purchased a 64 sport fury, it
is a rust free survivor from CA, black on black street wedge 4 speed
car, it is in incredible condition with only the drivers seat needing
a small repair.

I think I may have paid too much for it but it is what I want and at
least the search is over.

I paid $28,000 for the car, do you guys think it was too much?

I think maybe a little.

Also can I make this street wedge engine into a Max Wedge engine?, I
know it will be expensive and I may be better off storing the original
engine and building a new Max Wedge for some street meet drag racing.

Thanks in Advance.
