Complete Rear End Swap

'62 Newport 8 3/4 with the swedged hubs etc.

I've got warped drums and now a bad axle seal.

I'd like to swap a complete axle assembly to a more modern 8 3/4 so I
can covnvert to discs or at least have something that comes apart
easier.

I'll be googling info, but any advice here on how to measure axle I
have now vs what to measure on a replacement will be appreciatted.

And any info on which 8 3/4 might be a better then others.

Thanks!
