I should tell you I ran last Sat (may 19) with my new
head and custom made hyd cam to my specs.
I raced a injected 454 Chevy FED three times and beat
him heads up twice. This was the first time and as you can see he is nowhere
in the picture. I am still pinching myself. He got me in the final but it was
close. He caught up about 7/8 of the way to the finsh (full 1/4 mile) But I am
still up two on him. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine this. I have run
him many times as we are often the only FEDs at most tracks and was resigned
to the fact that I was 200 cubes + short against a car of similar weight. Car
pulls hard all the way down. You will see me with my head tucked forward as
the speed was so high the air was trying to get under my visor and I was
afraid the thing would blow open. 1962 slant six too so it is "list" friendly.
