I am planning to get LeRoar to
the track this Fri, June 22.. It's an 1/8th mile at MidAmerica Motorsports
Rolling Thunder dragstrip. I think I will have a pretty good contingent there.
Steve Micks is planning to come and he has a video camera. Its his B-Day and his
wife asked where he wanted to eat and he told her at the concession stand at the
dragstrip :-) It's quite a drive for him as he lives down near the Missouri
border. I'm sure glad he's coming though. We mull over our set-up and try out
different configurations.
It is going to be pretty hot
so I have decided the race hood is probably a better choice. Even if I don't
have an airbox on the carbs yet it will still pump some extra air under the
hood.
Oh yes, on a side note my
buddy with the Pink Panther '68 Barracuda 451 stroker is planning to come and
race me. That should be fun. He will smoke me since he has 536hp on tap. In my
favor though is the fact that he has never raced at a dragstrip. If he hic-cups
he's is trouble :-) I am toying with the idea of trying to put my video camera
on the dash. It's a crappy camera but that could be interesting if it works at
all.
