Having seen the matter in the digest, I thought I would post on the thread... but it's gone... or is it?

Anyway, my post was to have been along the lines that the cellphone's ability to start petrol/gasoline fires was tested on Mythbusters, as I recall, and they 'busted' that myth.

On the other hand, I have seen service station footage of people filling containers in the back of pickups and they have caught fire. It's a requirement here, and no doubt elsewhere, that containers be placed on the ground to be filled for this reason.
