Folks,

I have the gauge cluster out of the '64 Fury and need to remove the plastic that acts as the "glass window" between the outer trim plate and the panel itself.  The plastic is attached to the back side of the trim plate.  It looks like it is glued or riveted at 8 or 10 contact points.

Before I go tearing this thing apart (and breaking it), has anyone done this before, and, if so, what is the trick?  Heat gun?  M-80s?  .45 Auto?  Can't imagine I am to drill through plastic...

Thank you,

Jim

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
