Re: 1962 Dodge Dart Heater Controls

Oh ya, I don't think it has a fan switch.  OFF is OFF, LO is low fan to the floor, HI is high fan to the floor, DEF is high speed fan at the windscreen.  The lever on the far right of the dash is for the heat, all the way up is NO heat, and all the way down is full heat, place it anywhere you like for temp control.  Also if it works like an US built car if you do not want the fan on at all, say you want some air flow to the DEF or the floor, just press the button then grab it on the sides and gentely pull it out, it will shut off the fan but air will still flow to what ever button was pressed...so long and your driving it.

But if his car is from the AU would it not have a dash like this one?

It looks like a cross of a 1963 Dart and 1964 Polara (US built)

I'd guess the heater controls would be close to ours.

OFF
LO
HI
DEF

one way to see for sure, start it and hit each button to see what it does, I'm sure that OFF is at the top and DEF is at the bottom.  It should be the right order.  Good luck.
