Here's some info I wrote up long ago about swapping a small block into
an early A-body:
http://www.yetanotherdomain.org/abody/v8swap.html
I believe the Magnum 318s and 360s are externally the same as the
non-Magnum engines, so they should fit any place the earlier small
blocks do. Magnum 360s take a differently weighted flexplate/flywheel
than the non-Magnum.
A guy named Paul Pitcher put a late model V8 overdrive transmission in
a '66 Dart wagon. He had to cut out the existing transmission tunnel
and crossmember, and build new pieces to make it fit, and shorten the
drive shaft. I can't find pictures right now...
The engine bay in an early A-body is really tight, so you're going to
have to do some serious planning to get a turbo to fit under there
next to the V8.
Good luck and take lots of pictures so we can see!
