Re: bear with me please one year off topic 65 to 66 a-body crossover

i dont think the exhaust manifold is a standard/ automatic thing but it is a special driver side manifold to clear the steering when you have a smallblock in the early a bodies

1) Now refresh me if I am wrong:  the v8 swap in  WOULD NOT require a
k frame swap?? I recall they are the same in 64-66 a-bodies between
slant six and v-8

Correct, only one K for '63-'66.

2) I have  a clutch pedal set up from a 64 valiant. would those slip right in?

Haven't done this but I would say yes, its the same platform

3) I have a 1966 A-body  4 speed that has the small  output shaft slip
joint, not ball and trunnion. ( same as automatics) one year only I
was told.., which would be good because I have a bunch of 904 auto
drive shafts laying around.

Anything else I am not thinking of?

For stock exhaust manifold, the factory driver's side piece is 4-speed specific IIRC.
