In this photo I was home on leave from the Navy. Late Saturday afternoon getting ready for church so I could leave for the drag strip early Sunday morning. You see the slicks on the back, and as for the hood, a spacer was used between the hood and bracket, cracked the hood open at the rear for cooling, at least that's what we did back in the day.
