RE: Buy New or Re-Face Solid Lifters?

I would not use resurfaced lifters. They are too cheap to buy new ones.  Ask gary pavlovich or just get new ones from anywhere .  its just the same as a la block lifter……..

Bill,

I'm sure that refaced lifters will work fine. Not knowing how far you are taking the Poly stroker I'm thinking that you are going to use a new cam. I would check with the cam's maker that with the new cam matching lifters should be used. If the cam fails it may be a warranty issue. I'm using a Racer Brown ST-14 cam with matching solid lifters.

What's the general consensus on replacing vs. re-facing solid lifters?

New are ~$7.60 ea. I've found Re-facing for $2-$3 ea.

Just thinking about it for my poly stroker project.
