Re: Spark Plugs

At the car show in Lincoln last summer there was a mobile dyno that was sponsored by E-3.  Nobody else was around and I mentioned to the operators that I was hoping to find an E-3 that would work on my poly.  They told me that the E-3's were fine for the newer stuff but on iron headed older cars the plugs raised the head temp too much and they wouldn't recommend it

I run the NGK's now.

I can't recommend what plug to use, but I can tell you what to stay away from.  BOSCH and any of those Platinum plugs.  It's been my experience they do not do well in older cars.  I bet just regular plugs like...

Autolite Copper Core Spark Plug
Champion Nickel Spark Plug

I've only used the Autolite Copper ones, but only for 1500 miles before I pulled the motor, but they were in a stock motor.  They worked well.
