Re: Starting My 392 Poly Stroker

I always wanted to "do" a Poly in "stock" cubes, leaving room for cleanup.  My first ride was a '59 Dodge with a 326, that just ran like  a bandit, followed by a '63 Fury with a 318.  Since I was a salvage yard hound, I found a cast iron intake and 4 barrel for it, and my Dad fashioned the dual exhausts for it.  with a 3.23 posi rear and short G60-14 tires on it, it killed all the normal small block ford and chebbys at school, and most of the 327's and 350's that were supposed to be "hot" runners.  (ok,, not the 350 hp ones) along with some 351 mustangs.  I'll never forget the look on the faces of both the 327 camaro owners in high school after I took them out with the old Plymouth.  Ahhh,, good days.  If I ever get around to the rat rod I have in mind,,, it will be a Poly in it.  They look great and don't disappoint.  Always good to be "different".
