Re: Door won't open 65 Coronet

Problem solved! Was talking to a Mopar guy that I knew when I lived in the Detroit area. He asked me if the button would push in at all. I went to the garage and tried it and found that it would push in part way. He said to push it in and pull hard on the door. After doing so it opened. I lubed everything with Luberplate and it seems okay.

Thanks again all.

Hi guy's,

I need some help. My passengers door on my 65 Coronet will not open. I understand that most likely it is a U shaped clip that let loose on the lock rod. I purchased the clip, but how do I get the trim panel off with the door closed???

Any help will be appreciated!

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
