RE: A body 8 3/4

I believe the best & easiest rear to use in our 62-64’s would be a rear from a 65 to 67 B body.  It’s about an inch narrower than ours and the spring perches are in the right place!

I believe the issue was the 4 in bolt pattern.

Subject: A body 8 3/4

Is anyone using an A body 8 3/4 in their 63 B body ?   Looks like the

A body is about 5/8 inch more narrow ( flange to flange ) than the 63

B body or 5/16 on each side. The perches appear to be a 1/2 inch

difference on each side. I have a cut down Dana 60 with A body

dimensions in my 64 but the springs have been moved in and the 63 is a

little bit more narrow. Thinking about using my extra A body rear axle

for my 63.
