I agree it is a very shortsighted position! Last I looked scrap steel was about 9 cents a pound. So 9 times 3300 is just under $300. Not counting the work to cut it up. So if I were there I'd offer him what the crusher would pay and tell him to consider all the labor I'm saving him. :)  

It is much too good a car to crush: that is for certain.
