Hay all you Mopar friends!, Thank you for your thoughts and well
wishes. The Dr said that now everything is good and he is pleased---
but not without the drama that seems to follow me around 8-)
Sure was a good thing that two specialists were their. When they
removed the plug of my damaged cornea, the remaining tissue was weak
and my lens and the colored part of my eye started bulging out and
began leaking out inside fluid. Totaly unexpected It took two hands
to hold things together, and two more hands to get things fixed.. The
procedure took 2 hours, but several hours in the recovery room because
I didn't want to get up ,I guess. Very little pain, even with 16
stitches in my eyeball. Only took 2 over the counter pain pills and
two more at bedtime for prevention. Next Day Dr took a look at it and
was very pleased . I could already see better. Sunday I was able to
see the Super Bowl and actually be able to tell where the ball was.
Beyounce never looked so good !!! I drove into town today and could
see quite a bit further up the road. Looks Like I will be driving the
56 Chrysler soon, and be able to get speeding and excessive
acceleration tickets in the 64 Dodge this Summer LOL It will take some
time to get all healed up and my vision will improve as that happens.
The best gift you can give , is upon your passing away, have your
corneal tissue donated for corneal tranxsplant. It does not disfigure
you , and If not for that, I would eventually be blind. The Lions club
as a National service, has an eye- bank and makes arangements for the
availability of Cornea tissue. Thanks again all and I will SEE
