Re: Weatherstriping Adhesive Recommendation

Hi fellas and gal,
I think I posted a suggestion some time ago about the success I had using a product called Goop. It sets up quickly and holds terrifically well. I rolled the liner into the channel with a window screen roller and then placed 1/4" strips of plywood (any type wood product would work) into the channel to ensure window glass clearance.

3m makes several types. They have a " Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive 03602" too.
I don't know the difference but they should be able to clarify. There is a "chat" function on their web site, though who knows if that technology is working. :)

Now, the other thing is to be sure there is no old residue on the area you are trying to "stick it" to. Like some old clear silicone someone globed on in the past, which is a pain to remove completely.

Thanks,
Gary H.
