Just remember...a 360 is EXTERNALLY BALANCED!! That means you must have a weighted torque convertor OR a weighted flex plate. The weighted flex plate is available from B&M I believe. If you put a 318 (engine internally balanced) torque convertor on a 360, you will have MAJOR vibration problems that could damage the engine.

I don't have 1987 but here is 1978:

360 2-barrel =155hp @ 3600
360 4-barrel = 220hp @ 4,000
