Re: Idea for early A-Bodies

Look, I am only 18. I doing this mostly for fun and to learn, and maybe make it into a business. Its an idea for our hobbies, and is really the purpose for these modifications is to decrease wieght and add anaesterics to the cars. I do want to make these in a way that you can install them if you have a good welder and some brackets. But, who knows if i will go through with it. I just wanted to know if there were people intersted so i could feel less guilty about the $750 for equipment. Now, its not stell. But it is stronger, lighter, possess better visual anaesteics (in my opinion), and is something different for some of us non numbers matchers to do with our cars.

The biggest share of the people own metal mopars, and unless your catering to the racers, the weight savings is not what most people are going to want, for me to go to a non metal piece it would be strictly a money saving thing, and no I would never consider using a non metal quarter panel or any other part that was not a complete bolt on part on an all metal car,,, do what you think best, but if the price is not right  you will have wasted your money

Each part is built to customer specifications. I dont like cut-and-paste parts, and most of us own our cars and customize them in the image we see fit. Plus carbon fiber doesnt rust, or corrode as long as its maintained properly, but with less wieght.

But it is sheet metal, and there is nothing for rear quarter Panels, trunks, doors, roofs, and another sheet metal for that matter. Besides the front fenders and bumpers. And each pay is custom to what a customer wants.

They probably need to be competitive with what the vendors are selling comparable reproduction metal parts for now, for example, the late 1960's reproduction Mopar fenders are in the $600 each range, I believe.
