I think that is the answer I was looking for, as to whether or not the axles in the '65 rear end housing that I already have in '64 Polora will be up to the task if I install sure grip unit like the one shown for sale.

probably going wrong here with my assumption, but am assuming you are talking about the axle shafts,,, if so yes there were different lengths as to application, not so much as to if it were auto-manual-slant 6 or v8, but more as to year, and a-b-c-e body
