Re: TransGo shift kit

Here is something else to think about. If you turn the line pressure up all the way  and your kickdown linkage ever falls off or becomes diaconnected in any way, the trans will still shift and not burn up.   As far as a "shift kit" goes, all you can do is turn up the line pressure and remove the accumulator spring. Any other modifications to shift timing, ie two three shift, you have to go inside and change springs, kick down lever, and fluid flow.  Mine float into high gear.  I have built a lot of TFs and tried different ideas. If you use a "kit" the trans go kit is my personal favorite, good directions, easy to understand.  Also use one persons philosophy. Dont open ten magazine articles by ten different people and start mixing things up. Find what you like and stick with it.  Built my first TF 20 yrs ago and it still works. There is nothing to these things.  If you can find any thing written by Marv Booth read it. He and trans go are basically the same philosophy.  Be careful mixing parts, spline angles changed, make sure the shaft splines and your parts match.
Hope this helps

Im interested in this too. Ive always had a slightly sloppy 2-3 shift in my car and its getting worse. I think its probably time to go through the trans. Im sure the consrantly leaking pivot shaft seal hasn't helped any either. Ive heard great things about Dynamic Converters in Newark, DE as well.
