Re: Brake swap

Did you hold/lock the proportioning valve centered while you were bleeding the system?  New hoses?  Commingle different DOT type fluids?  (3,4,or 5)  Did you install the proportioning valve correctly?  Inlets to master outlets to brakes.

Subject: Brake swap

Guys I have a dilemma... A long time ago I went with a swap out of my front drum brakes on my 65 Coronet to disc brakes with spindles from a 78 Aspen and then new calipers, rotors, master cylinder and power brake booster.
I used a proportioning valve from a chevy system but it just aint working right.... the calipers won't release.   IT's driving me nuts.... The rod in the booster is adjusted right so it comes all the way back and does not interfere with the master cylinder return....
Any help in curing this probelm would be appreciated...
