Hi Tim, Ball Joint in a what? Are both sides crooked or just the one side? If it is just the one side I would get it fixed. Crossed threaded has never been good news. I'm sure it can be machined to be good again (not welded), if not, part are hard but not impossible to find...for most of our cars.
