Have the manifolds surface milled. get the orange silicone. The surface of the heads on mine where they make contact had also been smoothed by my builder so both surfaces were good to go.

I had my MW manifolds resurfaced at an exhaust shop and put orange silicone on the surface and installed.. No leaks after 4 years.
