Re: Gas quality

Fuel would run faster through a smaller line. Good thought.if my car does vapor lock all I have to do is take your chair from my trunk & sit down and wait...lol

(While knocking on wood)  I have never had a problem with vapor locking etc. I'm running the mechanical pump, stock 1/4" line, dual plane intake, @9.5:1 compression, and I have run both the current
Holley and the previous Carter.  I have used all 3 grades of gas commonly available, and while it pings badly on the 87 octane regular gas, the 89 octane10% ethanol, and the 92 octane work just fine.  I don't have a heat shield on the fuel pump and all of the lines are in the stock positions except for the fuel rail for the Holley.  I know for a fact that there is no filter on the pickup in the tank.  Just spit balling here, but I wonder if the higher velocity of the fuel going through the smaller line tends to keep it cooler?  If I had one of those fancy laser remote temp sensors I could see what the temp of the line is coming out of the fuel pump.

has anyone had a problem when the temp and humidity go up with their car stalling but starting up again? Mine just started today and I've been driving a lot.I know there are members that live in Ca. and Az. I'd like to hear from them. Thinking maybe aviation gas would help?Running a 426W,SP intake, and 9.5 comp.  any ideas would be appreciated.
