Re: What's Ruby worth?

Hi link
Gary sent an email showing prices for various grades but I can't find it
If I remember  a # 1 383 was in the high teens for a number Correct car? Of course  a 426 would be double I guess

I have an original  low mile perfect restored 64 Polara documented with 383 that I would have a hard time getting $20M I think but have receipts for $29,000 or more for just out of pocket costs.
You just have to find the right buyer if you want more

Maybe Gary has those numbers for you

Your car looks great in pics and one many would like to have at the right price but you need to set the price you will take.

Hi David,

Car is in Portland Maine. Like you, I have high 20's in parts alone and hundreds and hundreds of hours, although I stopped saving receipts once spending climbed above "insane" level.  Also, I bet I have over $5K in additional parts.

Subject: What's Ruby worth?

Dear Friends,

With 2 kids in college, it's time to pass along "Ruby" to someone who'll love her and ride her hard...like the tramp she is.  Below are links to the build.  She is a former car of the month and has been a ton of fun (see links below). Before she goes on the blocks, she's getting fresh 440 with slight cam and massaged heads, brand new TTI headers to complete the 3" exhaust system, and manual steering box.

Basically, what you see is what you get.  A gorgeous 1964 Sport Fury.  Tons of NOS/restored parts. New interior, 3:55 rear, manual shift valve body, pro stock springs, custom button activated dump outs, radio delete plate, original 426 hood ornament, restored door panels with NOS inserts, restored interior chromed plastic, killer stereo, torque thrust rims. She is not a trailer queen, as a result the $8K paint job has a few blems, but she remains a real head turner. Sale includes tons of extra parts, unused restored trim, original 383 with less than 5K on it, never used pro stock lift of fiberglass hood...more.

So....what's she worth?

I know she's worth what someone will pay for her, but you guys, more than anyone else know what it takes to restore one of these gems.  The only repro parts on the whole thing is seat covers and engine harness. Everything else is restored, super clean used or NOS.

When it comes time to sell, I'll obviously list all parts, specs, etc. But thought I should alert you guys of my intention and hopefully get some guidance on value.

Best to all and have a great Fourth of July!
