Exactly the situation I encountered this afternoon when removing the back-up light assemblies from my 64ragtop, but just two studs.  I put a piece of styrene plastic on the deck lid, against the light bezel and stuck a screwdriver under the bezel and twisted the screwdriver.  I had to go to three different places around the bezel before the gasket finally turned loose.  No paint damage!  Now to do some research to find a bright LED replacement for the 1156 bulbs I found, and clean and polish the reflector. 

I wore my red white and blue headband today, and took a bit of time to consider the independence our founders fought for...

I am tearing down my 63 sport fury and am not sure how to get the tail light out.  I removed the 4 nuts from the back side (in the trunk) but not sure what else to do other than pry, but I don't want to break anything.  Any ideas?
