Re: [Blacklisted Sender] Jegs

Eddy's are basically just later model Carters. Did you ever put on a pressure regulator and set it down to no more than 6psi?  They are extremely easy to tune.  Were you setting things up from the fsm?  Remember that a non-stock engine has it's own parameters and the info from the stock fsm does not pertain.  I bet I could've figured it out for you.  You gotta quit hanging out with those Chevy guys :-)

I said mine wasn't any good. Someone else told me the eddys were bad news. I've always preferred carters and now these over holleys. had a holley.great performance but in my opinion, too much maintenance for the street. Always remember, opinions are like a$$holes. We all have one. This is mine, good or bad.

If those carbs are junk I have never seen it!!!  Now Holley carbs.  I would not run one if you gave me a brand new one!! Ive rebuilt many a holley and Rochester. Rochesters are ok but holleys…. What a miserable design. If you want to do anything you have to run gas all over the intake and the power valves always blowing out.  the carter can be adjusted infinitly once you learn how. Only takes a flat blade screwdriver and you don’t spill any fuel on your intake…. O WELL   … like any carb every one has an opinion and that is just mine.  I prefer the avs series carb and the original carters to the new eddys but they are extremely tunable with the secondary air door.  Sorry for the rant.

After much conferring and testing I found my 750 Edelbrock from Jegs was junk.  Only 8" vacuum,no vacuum leaks and air/fuel mixture screws did nothing to alter the idle I called the. I no longer had my receipt and they were nice enough to look it up and email me a copy. The warranty ran out 2 weeks before I called but they are honoring it,which is a bit of a pleasant surprise. I also heard from a shop owner who runs mud drag trucks the edelbrocks for the want of a better word are junk. I'll find out soon enough. Anyone else had a problem similar to this?
