My Dad was a Roadmaster for the Rock Island RR and had a Dodge D100 {actually the 1st one west of the Mississippi River}with rail gear under it in the mid 60' and I saw a few early 60's New Yorkers for the "big shots" that had rail gear under them.I wish I had,had a camera the day one of those "big shots" derailed one.Was quite a funny site to see them attempt to re-rail it.  lol
