RE: Throttle cable

Rehrenberg, the guy that writes tech articles in Mopar mags is a seller on Ebay and offers several parts solutions for the specific problems we encounter.  Boucillon Performance in South Carolina is another Mopar specific problem solver.  Both of these outlets have helped me with throttle cable issues on 63-65 B-Bodies in the past.  Sometimes this part will be a little pricey, but really this is not a part that you want to second guess and have problems with later.  Not difficult to install but not a barrel of monkey fun either.  Be sure to check that your length is not too short on the cable within the housing once installed.  (expensive lesson I learned)  Use a throttle stop device for added peace of mind.  Good Luck.  Always Mopar,  John Hammond

Subject: Throttle cable

1964 Dodge B body-440 engine. After installing a hi rise intake with a 1" spacer under the Holley carb, , My stock throttle cable is to short--by 2-3 inches. I don't want to spend the money that a new Lokar kit costs. I have heard that a slant six cable will work, but from what application? my parts guys are NO  help.

Anyone have an idea for me or a cable that will work, for Sale? Thanks for any help...............................MO
