If both "dots" are at 12 oclock then you are on cylinder number six and that cylinder is firing. Dist. rotor pionting at number six?  Either way is fine. More importantly is where is the metal from the inside scraping going, the pan and pick up screen? Got a pic of the cover?  360 Magnum has no fuel pump and is fuel injection? No fuel pump prevision?

 ok, SO WHY is there a circular groove ground on the inside of my timing case in my 360?? Seems if it was the eccentric grinding on the case interior ( which I know it shouldn't) it would wipe more than an 1/8 inch wide groove, because of  the eccentric motion.appears to be exact diameter of the eccentric.
  Could this be a timing case from a 360 magnum? Maybe they were shallower.
