Poly Piston Problems

I received some 30+ Poly pistons from Falcon in a rebuild kit and the sides of the pistons (skirts) are machined in concentric rings the full length of the piston.  I have contacted Gary P, and am awaiting his thoughts on this, but neither I nor my machine shop have ever seen this on a piston, and think it might well severely scour the walls of the block.

Have anyone on the list ever replaced the poly pistons and found this?  Pistons are listed as item #PST2050A.  The first set I received had four with the rough concentric machining, and four with less (almost smooth) machining.  When I returned them, I got eight with the rough machining in return.  My rebuilder refuses to put them in.  I would like to know the list's experiences.

Thoughts??
