Re: 11 inch drums, what did they come on

I once had a 67 Dart that constantly always over tightening driver's rear.

It had the wrong threaded adjuster and tightened every time you put on the brakes.

My answer was to change all the wheels to pure manual adjusters.

After the fact i found out about the L/R  threaded adjusters.

My 69 charger with the big brakes had manual adjusters when i bought it.

Perhaps the big brakes always were non-automatic adjusters????

I  ordered all the brake stuff today under the banner of "1970 dodge charger with 11x2.5 inch rear drums", All the pieces look identical,....... what a luck out! Should have them back together tomorrow. Here's another thing i have learned in this last debacle: There is a right and left star adjuster!! I never knew that. The guy at the parts store informed me of this. Drivers side is a left hand thread and is marked "L"' Pity all the brake jobs I did in the past, how did they even work if i had those mixed up.  I might be the dumbest guy on this chat board.

Yup, available on the C-body. But the 11 inch brakes were on the B-body platform too, as an option or on police and taxi models.  Not used on the A-body, afaik.
