Re: Speedway Museum tour

Yes they do have a zillion engines on display.  Many were experimental or one of a kind. There is especially a lot of OHV flathead conversion kits and blowers.  I do like the old flatheads.

FYI:  Speedway is asking for more interesting engines and/or components to display, working or not.  They want unusual and different stuff.  I wonder if a poly is different enough for them?  I do have my "demo" head I could contribute.

Rich, you got to see a great deal of "one off" engines on display there. Many a gear head would freak out at just seeing those motors.

Today I toured the Speedway Museum in Lincoln, NE with my WPC Club members.  It was a great day and we saw some superb cars.  I don't remember which site now but in one group it was mentioned about the Red Baron car that was patterned after the Hot Wheels model. It is in the museum in Lincoln and I took some pictures of it.

They do not have a lot of Mopar related stuff there but what they do have is good.  There is a Max Wedge Tony Nancy dragster and some LA-318 equipped Indy type cars.  Lot's of Hemi engines on stands too.
